ASLON is pleased to announce that VeriCite has appointed edtech leader Valerie Schreiner as CEO, succeeding Scott Siddall. Scott, who co-founded VeriCite with Sam Ottenhoff, will remain with the company as CFO, and Sam will remain as the Chief Technology Officer. VeriCite provides a software as a service solution to the K-12 and higher education markets.
Prior to joining VeriCite, Valerie Schreiner had been named President of Schoolzilla after serving as their Chief Product Officer. Previously, she served in a variety of sales and marketing roles with education technology companies, including Blackboard Inc. Throughout her career, Valerie has grown several technology startups in higher education and a range of other industries. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Northern Illinois University.
